12). The Cabin in the Woods (2012) The best way I can describe this film is it's like nothing you have seen before - a horror movie with a ton of comedy in it. As groundbreaking a TV show that Buffy the Vampire Slayer was (Director Drew Goddard and Producer Joss Whedon, were the forces behind that show) this is a cutting-edge and innovative film. It’s one of the best films I have seen this year and has a highly inventive plot about which I can’t go into too much detail so I don't give it away

Cabin in the Woods (2012): Directed by Drew Goddard and produced by Joss Whedon, this smart horror/comedy explores many of the most common horror film tropes. such as why teenagers make such pathologically stupid decisions when faced with grave or supernatural situations.

The Ring (2002). This movie is visually disturbing but it is not gore. It is the measured way that it looks, the imagery and the pacing that is so impressive.

best part of the whole movie

don't know how all of these characters are supposed to merge, but I LOVE the Firefly Family reference!

Jeepers Creepers (2001), United Artists with Justin Long, Gina Phillips, and Jonathan Breck. Nice to see a new monster and I will never have the same thoughts when hearing the song. Creepy!

The Cabin in the Woods by Blain Hefner. I actually really liked this movie!

"I read IT on xmas day on a ship while in USMC in line for xmas dinner (hundreds in front and behind me in line) At one point, the hairs on my neck stood up and started looking back and forth, expecting to see this face lurking around every corner. True story. (Feb 1991. USS Tripoli.)

horror movies are my absolute favorite and when i first thing that stood out to me was the way that it was colored. I also love how these characters are drawn in a less threatening way when they are typically displayed as gruesome.
