Cheerio Treats • 1 c. sugar • 1 c. corn syrup • 1 c. creamy peanut butter • 1 t. vanilla • 5 c. Cheerios (I used Honey Nut Cheerios) In a large sauce pan, combine sugar and corn syrup. Bring to boil over medium heat. Allow mixture to boil for one minute and remove from heat. Add peanut butter and vanilla to mixture and mix
*Grinch cookies* Mint Chocolate Chip Cookies Mint Chocolate Cookies 2 3/4 cup flour 1 tsp baking soda 1/2 tsp baking powder 1/2 tsp salt 1 cup butter (at room temperature) 1 1/2 cup sugar 1 egg 1 tsp mint extract 15-20 drops green food coloring 1 bag of Andes mints (chopped) 375 degrees Bake for 8-10 minutes

Peanut Butter "Cheese Ball". 1 package (8 ounces) cream cheese, at room temperature 1 cup powdered sugar 3/4 cup creamy peanut butter (not all-natural) 3 tablespoons packed brown sugar 3/4 cup milk chocolate chips 3/4 cup peanut butter chips Graham cracker sticks, teddy grahams, and/or apple slices for dipping
Indoor Smores: The children could make this snack themselves. It would be fun to have the children bring this snack to the rug in baggies to eat while listening to stories. You could make a campfire out of paper towel rolls for logs and tissue paper for fire. Children would develop more independence by making their own snacks.
