Plain Truth by Jodi Picoult *A contemporary Amish tale. The premise of the book is a dead infant to a Amish teenager who SWEARS up & down she did not kill her baby. Her attorney is from the city & is running from demons of her own but, begrundgingly lands herself in this strange society with their constant rules defending the young teenager. Very good book that they also made a Lifetime movie of."

Amish! This is my favorite of Jodi Picoult's books, and one of my favorite books in general. Well researched in portraying the Amish characters, and a fantastic "didn't see that coming" ending. Highly recommend this one!

Click for summary. Great book about asperger's syndrome and breaking the idea of what is "normal." Suspenseful, funny & heartwarming.

In Sterling, New Hampshire, 17-year-old high school student Peter Houghton has endured years of verbal and physical abuse at the hands of classmates. His best friend, Josie Cormier, succumbed to peer pressure and now hangs out with the popular crowd that often instigates the harassment. One final incident of bullying sends Peter over the edge and leads him to commit an act of violence that forever changes the lives of Sterling’s residents.

Really got involved in book when the story was told through the eyes of the protagonist grandmother. About girl named Sage who befriends an elderly gentleman who has ties to her grandmother.....

Jodi Picoult. I remember reading this at the beach....finished it and wanted to launch it into the ocean. LOL! Didn't love the ending, but well written nonetheless.
