Turquoise Cicada-Happy are the cicadas, since their wives are mute, wrote one day some macho writer at the beginning of an entomology book. Yes, among the cicadas, only the males sing, or better screech to be more correct. They can all together produce sounds as strong as a subway train entering a station, or a child yelling, or working of a pneumatic drill. At 90 decibels, their song competes with a lawn mower. That is not at all exaggeration.

dragonfly. A dragonfly is an insect belonging to the order Odonata, the suborder Epiprocta or, in the strict sense, the infraorder Anisoptera (from Greek ανισος anisos, "uneven" + πτερος pteros, "wings", because the hindwing is broader than the forewing). It is characterized by large multifaceted eyes, two pairs of strong transparent wings, and an elongated body
Dragonfly is as beautiful as butterflies, but here's a bonus: They eat mosquitoes and insects (and sometimes other dragonflies! Yikes!) by the thousands! This beauty has pink on the edges of its wings
i chose this picture because dragonflies are one of my favorite insects and I thought this was just very beautiful. This is a picture of a close-up

Order Odanata ~ Odonata is an order of insects, encompassing dragonflies (Anisoptera/Epiprocta) and damselflies (Zygoptera). The word dragonfly is also sometimes used to refer to all Odonata, but odonate is a more correct English name for the group as a whole. Odonata enthusiasts avoid ambiguity by using the term true dragonfly, or simply Anisopteran, when referring to just the Anisoptera. The term Warriorfly has also been proposed. Some 5,900 species have been described in this order.
