The band that introduced me to rock music in the first place. They can produce it all; aggressive, in-your-face metal to melodic, tame steady rock. One of the major rock giants of the music industry, beyond a shadow of a doubt.

Ratt's brash, melodic heavy metal made the Los Angeles quintet one of the most popular rock acts of the mid-'80s.
Invasion of Your Privacy is the second album by American heavy metal band #Ratt. It was released in 1985 and featured the singles "Lay It Down", "You're in Love" and "What You Give Is What You Get". Beau Hill produced the album, and the cover-model is Playboy model Marianne Gravatte, who also made an appearance in the "Lay It Down" music video.
Ratt, Invasion of Your Privacy*****: This one gets an extra star for one of the sexiest and dramatic album covers of all time, at least as far as I'm concerned. That cover represents every single song on the album and in a way that allows a narrative to form. It ties the whole album together. This ranks as one of my favorite album covers. 7/19/15

Ratt's brash, melodic heavy metal made the Los Angeles quintet one of the most popular rock acts of the mid-'80s. The group had its origins in the '70s group Mickey Ratt, which had evolved into Ratt by 1983; at that time the band featured vocalist Stephen Pearcy, guitarist Robbin Crosby,...

Aug. 8, 1969. The famous photo on the Beatles "Abbey Road" album cover is taken, with Paul McCartney barefooted, holding a cigarette in the "wrong" hand, and the VW with the "28IF" license plate, all supposed "clues" that Paul was dead.

Jimi Hendrix - Axis: Bold as Love (1967) Hendrix was a little disappointed with the album's cover art. Although he appreciated the symbolic design, he mentioned in an interview that it would have been more appropriate if the cover art showcased his Native American "Indian" heritage.
Jimi Hendrix' second album, Axis: Bold As Love (1967), signified a change for Hendrix and an artistic development as Hendrix' music became more compact and more varied. Hendrix was becoming much more concerned with his songwriting craft and would soon try to abandon his guitar pyrotechnics. Ten of the thirteen songs are under three minutes and only one, "If 6 Was 9," is more than five minutes long - only three songs on Are You Experienced? were less than three minutes.

My Generation is the debut studio album by the English rock band The Who, released by Brunswick Records in the United Kingdom in December 1965.
The Who - 'My Generation' 1965 POW!!! This album still packs a punch today. Everytime I put it on - to this very day - I get excited and that's how I felt hearing it for the first time in my teens. I had heard and owned the American release before this, but the different tracklisting and lame cover art of the US release didn't impress. #TheWho #MyGeneration

The Who: My Generation. Says paperblog.com: "Shot by David Wedgbury at Surrey Docks, Rotherhithe in November 1965, the placement of the band amid oil drums suggests that flammable material can be found on the record. An apt metaphor for not just My Generation, but for The Who’s long, loud, explosive career. The area today is Surrey Quays (with its own station on the Jubilee Line extension) a largely residential area."

A guy with a bugle will rock any teenage party. Chicks dig a young man who can blow his own horn.
Vintage Teenager-Party album cover. I have pinned this particular image because I believe that It fits into the category of 'young people and social change'. The image is of teenagers in 1958 at a 'vintage party', I find this interesting because of the dramatic change from then (1950's) to now with teenagers. Their vintage party seems very calm, relaxed and under control. And now days most teenager parties are very much out of control and causing disturbance within the community.
Those teenagers of the 1950s really knew how to party, didn't they?
Yes, nothing gets a teenage party rockin’ more than a bugle.
A grownup's idea of what a teenager party should look like.
Not a teenager party anyone that I know has ever been near.

Elton John Captain Fantastic And The Brown Dirt Cowboy (1975) (Original UK Pressing) (24 Bit 96 Khz) (Vinyl Rip) | 4shared free music
Captain Fantastic and the Brown Dirt Cowboy is the 9th studio album by British singer/musician Elton John, released in 1975. It debuted at number 1 on the U.S. Pop Albums chart, the first album ever to do so, and stayed there for seven weeks. The album cover design and illustration was done by Alan Aldridge.
"Captain Fantastic and the Brown Dirt Cowboy" gives an autobiographical glimpse at the struggles John (Captain Fantastic) and Taupin (the Brown Dirt Cowboy) had in the early years of their musical careers (from 1967 to 1969). "Someone Saved My Life Tonight" was the only single released from the album (#4 on the Billboard Hot 100), is a semi-autobiographical story about John's disastrous engagement, and his related suicide attempt. (Vinyl LP)
Captain Fantastic and the Brown Dirt Cowboy, Elton John - Bernie Taupin wanted to make a self-mythologizing album about his and John's rise to fame. The ballad "Someone Saved My Life Tonight," for example, was about a night when Taupin stopped John from committing suicide with a gas oven. While Taupin sweated over every line, John dashed off the music on a luxury ocean liner. "I'd tried to book the ship's music room, but an opera singer had it for the whole five days," John said.
June 7, 1975 - Elton John's ninth studio album 'Captain Fantastic And The Brown Dirt Cowboys', went to No.1 on the US album chart, the first album ever to enter the US chart at No.1. (where it stayed for seven weeks). Captain Fantastic' is a concept album that gives an autobiographical glimpse at the struggles John (Captain Fantastic) and Taupin (the Brown Dirt Cowboy) had in the early years of their musical careers in London. •• #eltonjohn #thisdayinmusic #1970s #album #bernietaupin
