Known as crème de violette, the liqueur first originated in Austria. Handpicked flowers are mashed into Weinbrand (a type of brandy) and sugar is then added. The taste is interesting with a gorgeous lavender hue. Violette Liqueurs, Beverages Such, Violets Flower Wedding, Dusty Violets, Monin Syrup, April Violets, Violets Liqueurs, Cocktails, Black
Frostbite - 1½ oz tequila - 1 oz cream - ½ oz blue curaçao - 1 oz chocolate liqueur - ½ oz crème de menthe
Lilac Sugar! (Update: I tried this last week, and it seems far better in theory. I discovered lots of practically microscopic bugs on the lilacs which you can shake a bunch to get out, or wash, but the lilacs never fully dry enough so that the sugar doesn't turn into a big lump with the lilacs. Fail.)
