Our neighbors had a fig tree when I was growing up. Fresh figs are Probably my favorite fruit. When a new family bought the house, they cut the fig tree down, but my mom salvaged a piece and grew a new tree. It took five years or so to bear fruit, but one of my favorite memories is picking figs from that tree. 😌 oh, nostalgia.
