Man's dressing gown, cotton, early 19th century, British. I seem to recall that an almost identical dressing gown was includeed in "Underwear Fashion in Detail," and that was supposed to be made of wool. Also, the fabric doesn't look cottony, so I'm gonna suggest that this might actually be made of wool, whatever the museum says.
