    I instantly thought of Breaking Bad.... Rock Candy: 2 cups water, 1 cup white corn syrup, 3 1/2 cups sugar, 1/4 tsp cream of tartar. Then I added: 1/4 tsp vanilla extract, 3 drops of blue gel food coloring. I boiled the mixture and then continued stirring it on the heat until it reached 300 degrees F (used a candy thermometer to measure the temp). At that point, I poured it into a tray to cool. It hardened up in about an hour and then I smashed it to pieces.

Christmas Rock Candy - Perhaps a homemade stocking stuffer? Love This Stuff! Really love the lemon flavor. Strawberry is great too.

Im so doing this with the kids ! Rock Candy. 1 cup water, 2-3 cups sugar, tall narrow glass jar, clothes peg and a skewer, food colouring (optional). Heat water and dissolve sugar until no more will dissolve, roll skewer in extra sugar, let cool then put in water. 2-3 days and you will have rock candy.

rock candy champagne..beautiful! i feel like i could change this to an alcohol free drink for a French themed baby shower some day.... @Carie Jenkins....so I will have everything ready when the time comes!
