Before & After: Lindsey's Rescued Kitchen Cart — Lost & Fawned

Lindsey sent us an email about a successful furniture rescue and revitalization. Nothing like a good makeover to counteract a slight case of the Mondays - we love seeing pieces get recycled instead of ending up in landfill.

Another cart...

It's amazing how much a cart like the one in this pic will hold. Ours holds most of the pots and skillets, cannisters, food processor, immersion blender. In our small kitchen, we just roll it away from us if we need to walk past it with others in the room.

I need a similar island for my kitchen. Also notice the backsplahs behind the stove... that's the same one I'm hoping to put in our kitchen soon!

Just a general note that it would be better to pin the after images instead of the befores. I think more people will repin the nicer after images, myself included.

I agree, although I suppose they do it because they want you to click through to the site :)

Island Storage If you don't have an island, create one. In its former life, this marble-top bureau kept clothes in order. Now, its drawers hold pots, pans, and bowls. Side panels pitch in with a paper-tower bar and large utensil hooks. The island also houses spices and other at-hand food-prep items.

Ohh, my god, this one has a drop leaf!! Holy shoot, I'm gonna have twenty of the things :s
