I LOVE this!! She has the #firstday hashtag up for, obviously, the first of the school year. She's going to take a picture of each student and put their it on the board. Then she'll change the hashtag and pictures throughout they year. SO cute!!

Snowball Fight...kids write 3 things about themselves on a sheet of white paper.  They do not write their names on the paper.  Wad it up and on your command, have a "snowball" (or baseball) fight.  At the end of 1 minute, each student grabs the nearest snowball and tries to guess who wrote it.  Would be great at the beginning of the year!

Reusable Exit Tickets!! Laminate, have students write the answer to an exit slip with dry erase marker. Color code by class. Good way to quickly assess. Kids grab ticket on way in the room, drop in basket on way out.
