Mint leaves chopped 2 tblsp superfine sugar 6 ounces seedless watermelon, pureed 1/2 cup lime juice,fresh 3/4 cups light rum Crushed ice In shaker muddle mint, sugar, and 1/2 the lime juice. Add ice, rum and then watermelon. Shake. Strain over ice and serve.
Frozen Cherry Mojitos 1 lb frozen, pitted cherries 3 cups crushed ice 1/2 cup fresh mint leaves 1 cup white rum 1 cup lime simple syrup lime wedges and fresh cherries to garnish Place the frozen cherries, ice, mint, rum, and lime simple syrup in a blender. Mojito. The Mojito was a favorite drink of author Ernest Hemingway. Ernest Hemingway made the bar called La Bodeguita del Medio famous as he became one of its regulars and he wrote "My mojito in La Bodeguita, My daiquiri in El Floridita." This expression in English can still be read on the wall of the bar today, in his handwriting.
MOJITO 1.5 oz BACARDI Rum 12 fresh spearmint leaves 1/2 lime 7 oz club soda 2 tbsp. simple syrup (or 4 tsp. sugar) For the smoothest summer cocktails, gently crush mint leaves and lightly squeeze lime in a cool tall glass. Pour sweet syrup to cover and fill glass with ice. Add Bacardi Rum, club soda, and stir your emerging mojito well. Garnish with a lime wedge and a few sprigs of mint.
