Here’s an adaptation that will allow many viewers to draw comparisons to the text; The Giver by Lois Lowry is still taught on some middle school syllabi. The Giver will be released this summer.

My favorite summer read - a great one for Lake Cumberland. I highly suggest the audio version as well.

Read it and LOVED it. Amazing book, as is A Thousand Splendid Suns by same author.
