Writing 2- An easy way to get children interested in writing is to have them write letters to the teacher and other students. I would use the mailbox for "students of the week" all of the other students would write nice, encouraging notes to that student. It would also be helpful in the way of teaching respect toward other students.
Recycling plastic caps into a classroom project- in this case, creating beautiful strings of 'raindrops' out of caps that normally end up in the trash. Make this to create excitement for your weather study.
a really fun idea for classroom management/transitions... the "action cup!" write different actions on popsicle sticks, such as "pretend your legs are spaghetti" and have one student pick an action for the class to do each time they transition!
I LOVE how she used her board so that each subject can stay up throughout the day. A genius professor of mine once said that elementary school should not feel like a segmented day, "Ok we're done with that now next is this.." It should flow from one to another. This board organization would really help the flow of the day...
