Sneak Peek: Johanne and Palle Bruun Rasmussen's Aarhus home. "We built Sigge’s bed last summer, with help from a carpenter friend. The legs are from a tree from the garden, and you get the feeling of being in a forest hut when you’re in the bed. Sigge almost never complains about going to bed. I like to think it has to do with this bed." #sneakpeek
Love this play area over the bed, like the anti-loft bed. I think I'd leave off the first couple of steps of the ladder and make it a safer place for the older kids to play with and store their LEGO creations. (Apartment Therapy with loft bed inspiration)
diy & another idea is you could make bunkbeds with this look/idea in mind too. That would be awesome for anyone with tons of kids, or you could do the bunkbed idea version on 1 side (with just 2 bunks) & window seat or futon or whatever on the other side. I love the storage.
