Columbiana Co OH. Confederate Gen John Hunt Morgan was captured 26 Jul 1863 along SR 518 bw Gavers and West Point OH, the northernmost point the Confederacy reached during the CW. Morgan led his troops on raids thru KY, IN and OH bf his capture in Columbiana Co in 1863.

Confederate General John Hunt Morgan was a cavalry officer. Morgan is best known for Morgan's he and his men rode over miles covering Tennessee, up through Kentucky, Indiana and southern Ohio.
