Army SPC Chad J. Vollmer, 24, of Grand Rapids, Michigan. Died December 23, 2006, serving during Operation Iraqi Freedom. Assigned to 1st Battalion, 125th Infantry, Michigan Army National Guard, Big Rapids, Michigan. Died of injuries sustained when an improvised explosive device detonated near his vehicle during combat operations in Salman Pak, Babil Province, Iraq.

Army Spc. Scott P. McLaughlin Died September 22, 2005 Serving During Operation Iraqi Freedom 29, of Hardwick, Vt.; assigned to the 1st Battalion, 172nd Armor Regiment, 42nd Armor Division, Vermont Army National Guard, St. Albans, Vt.; killed Sept. 22 by enemy small-arms fire in Ramadi, Iraq.

Army Master Sgt. Chris S. Chapin Died August 23, 2005 Serving During Operation Iraqi Freedom 39, of Proctor, Vt.; assigned to the 2nd Battalion (General Studies), 124th Regiment (Regional Training Institute), Army National Guard ,Colchester, Vt., killed Aug. 23 during combat operations when he was attacked by enemy forces using small arms fire in Ramadi, Iraq.

Army Pvt. Mark W. Graham Died March 7, 2007 Serving During Operation Iraqi Freedom 22, of Lafayette, La.; assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 5th Cavalry Regiment, 1st Brigade, 1st Cavalry Division, Fort Hood, Texas; died March 7 at Brooke Army Medical Center, San Antonio, of wounds sustained when an improvised explosive device detonated near his unit while on combat patrol March 2 in Baghdad.

Army Sgt. Maj. Michael C. Mettille Died February 1, 2007 Serving During Operation Iraqi Freedom 44, of West St. Paul, Minn., assigned to the 134th Brigade Support Battalion, Brooklyn Park, Minn.; died Feb. 1 at Camp Adder, Iraq, from a non-combat related injury.

Army Sgt. Daniel J. Brown Died March 24, 2012 Serving During Operation Enduring Freedom 27, of Jerome, Idaho, assigned to 2nd Battalion, 8th Infantry Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division, Fort Carson, Colo.; died March 24 in Kandahar province, Afghanistan, of wounds caused by an improvised explosive device.

Army Sgt. 1st Class John T. Stone Died March 28, 2006 Serving During Operation Enduring Freedom 52, of Norwich, Vt.; assigned to the 15th Civil Support Team, Vermont Army National Guard, South Burlington, Vt.; killed March 28 as a result of enemy mortar and small arms attacks during combat operations in Lashkagar, Afghanistan.

Army Sgt. Kevin F. Sheehan Died May 25, 2004 Serving During Operation Iraqi Freedom 36, of Milton, Vt.; assigned to 1st Battalion, 86th Field Artillery, Army National Guard, Williston, Vt.; killed May 25 when his unit came under mortar attack at Forward Operating Base Kalsu, near Iskandariyah, Iraq.

Army Spc. Solomon C. Marine Staff Sgt. Leon H.
