    4 Chicken breasts, boneless


    3 Garlic cloves
    1 Vegetables

    Canned Goods

    1 1/2 cup Chicken broth


    4 tbsp Soy sauce

    Pasta & Grains

    1 Rice, hot cooked

    Baking & Spices

    3 tbsp Brown sugar
    1 tbsp Cornstarch

      Most recipes for poached pears say to peel the pears. I like to leave the peel on most fruits when possible. I make these by cooking the whole pear but they can also be done by cutting it in fourths or slices and cooking in the syrup. I use red pears but any type of pear can be used. this can easily be classified a gourmet dessert but it's a fairly easy and fun recipe to make. Please Note: If you use pears that are already soft your cooking time will be accordingly shortened.
