PHILLY CHEESESTEAK SLOPPY JOES recipe from: A Taste of Home Cooking. They were really yummy, but next time I'd just put a slice of provolone on them instead of making the cheese sauce that they put on it.

Philly cheesesteak sloppy joes. **These were good but next time I would follow the original recipe (Rachael Ray's) with 1/4 c of steak sauce for the flavor & also to help thicken the meat sauce. The cheese sauce was really good. I added pepper to that.**

Philly Cheesesteak Sloppy Joes these were a hit with the whole family. they are quick & easy to make. I make a double batch. we (a family of 4 with 2 big eating boys) eat one batch (and have leftovers) & I freeze one batch. I have tweaked the recipe a bit & this is how it looks for me: 2 lbs ground beef 1 lg onion 1 1/2 lg green peppers 1/2 c beef broth 5 T steak sauce 1 1/2 t. salt ground black pepper to taste I don't make the cheese sauce because we prefer to just add a slice of provolone cheese to the sandwich. the added oil to brown the beef isn't necessary.

Philly Cheesesteak Sloppy Joes. Made tonight, were delicious!! Would be a good game day slider.

Hamburger Steaks (not to be confused with Salisbury Steaks). I seasoned them with seasoned salt, and I substituted the beef broth with gravy mix: in a small bowl, combine gravy mix with 1 cup of water and add to meat and onions.
