Leonardo da Vinci, sketches of the neck and shoulders. Though these sketches look very traditional, I find he puts in quite a lot of detail when doing such anatomical drawings. This inspired me to try and include such detail, especially the tendon and bone structure. However I would also add colour or different media, to avoid making my work look as traditional or 'plain'.
