Lovely Dreamcatcher! I made them before, but nothing like this :)

Cut the "Football" out of paper, hole punch the edges and add some yarn and a few sheets of extra paper to stuff it and voila! All the materials to make a paper football and you can mail it flat in an envelope up to 8.5 x 11.

i'm thinking a more abstract arty version (no googly eyes, sadly) & made to be a mobile. ombre. although, i do like the repurposed plate/scrap ribbon/maybe mardi gras beads idea.
