Elephants have been known to die of a broken heart when a mate dies. They refuse to eat and will lie down, shedding tears, until they starve to death. They reject all human help.

Elephants are dressed in India and Thailand and very much loved and respected!

Mother's love...Elephants have such a connection with their own that they mourn year after year after one of their own has died. It's so sad.
