This book is the compilation of "Don't Bite the Sun" and its sequel, "Drinking Sapphire Wine". Very awesome fantasy/sci fi about trying to find something different in a society where everything is allowed and even death isn't permanent. I've read it multiple times. ♥

A disappointment. This book won YA novel of the year. I like the setting in a dystopian Chicago and the idea of factions, but the protagonist's "growth" was more of a devolution into immaturity. A clever idea, but it feels like the book just lost direction after the initial good start.

Hopefully it's as good as The Kite Runner
