I lived for 8 years of youth on a dairy on North Recker Road in N.E. Mesa, AZ. I saw this mountain every day close-up. When I was really small I thought the top was a chimney!

I grew up about 2 miles from and was so sad when she came down. So great to see the Mesa landmark restored.
My all-time favorite neon sign. I used to plead with my parents to drive by her at night. Magical!
We passed the Buckhorn on our way to church and in the school bus every day. I always wanted to go in a take a hot bath but Mom said we could do that at home.
