Mrs. Rehder's Rainforest - love this idea for earth day or could be adapted for harmony day.

Earth Day 2013 is Mon., April These Earth Day "Handprint Globes" glued on black construction paper, along with students' creative writing assignments would make a visually stunning Earth Day bulletin board display.

Throughout the day I drew out a name and that student got to pick a balloon for us to pop. Inside each balloon was a different 100 activity for us to complete. Some examples of things we did are... 100 jumping jacks, draw 100 shapes, count by 2's to 100, do 100 sit-ups, touch our nose 100 times, clap our hands 100 times, blink our eyes 100 times, etc.

Pop a balloon to do a jumping jacks, draw 100 shapes, count to 100 by 100 seconds of silence!

I used this template to create Writing Offices for my third grade students. The students have these offices available when they are writing and can refer to the information listed there! It includes information about: the writing process, an editing.

Mount Vernon, Virginia - home of George Washington - is one of my favorite places. I liked it so much that I became a tour guide for a season and then a volunteer. I hope to go back someday. I loved everything from the elegant dining room, the view of the Potomac, to the pioneer farm, an actual working farm with crops and sheep.

To prevent unfinished work from being lost, have them stick in their front folder. When they have finished something else, recess, or at the end of the day, they can look in their front folder for unfinished work.

Front folders for unfinished work instead of inside desks where sometimes the work disappears into black holes. I love this idea because it also eliminates taping name tags onto the desks!

gingerbread house door

"This gingerbread house classroom door idea is fantastic! I'm sure students enjoy walking into their "gingerbread" classroom each morning." A door decoration for a classroom is a great idea. I love this idea.
