I make this with a pork roast. It is the BEST! Beyond easy and the broth from cooking down the roast was too devine to toss. I took the juices, skimmed off some of the fat added a little salt, northern beans, water and the cilantro lime rice leftover from our carnitas soft tacos to make the best soup for lunch the next day. CRAZY GOOD!

Slow Cooker Carnitas - The best thing to ever come out of my crockpot!

A healthier version of carnitas, a braised Mexican pulled pork that is broiled until crispy on the outside but is still moist and tender on the inside and just packed with flavour!

Brown Sugar and Balsamic Glazed pork loin- this was delicious and very easy! I did not use my crock pot, instead I seared the pork loin on all sides in a roasting pan, then transferred it to a 450F oven and continued cooking until internal temp reached 145F. Meanwhile, heated and thickened glaze on stove and then brushed it over the pork loin. Sliced, served with remaining glaze. Excellent!

5-Star*****Carnitas..this smells unbelievable in the CROCKPOT. It is So directions carefully-uses a 4-5lb. pork shoulder or butt, but once you shred it and remove most of the fat, it's enough for a meal with leftovers, even better the next day! My daughter asks for this...and brings friends!
