Army Chief Warrant Officer 3 Corey J. Spivey  Died April 6, 2005 Serving During Operation Enduring Freedom  21, of Fayetteville, N.C.; assigned to the 5th Battalion, 159th Aviation Regiment, 12th Aviation Brigade, Giebelstadt, Germany; killed April 6 when the CH-47 helicopter in which he was riding crashed in Ghazni, Afghanistan.

Air Force TSgt. Herman Mackey III, 30, of Bakersfield, California. Died May 3, 2013, serving during Operation Enduring Freedom. Assigned to 93rd Air Refueling Squadron, Fairchild Air Force Base, Washington. Died when the KC-135 aircraft he was in crashed near Chon-Aryk, Kyrgyzstan while on a refueling mission for Afghanistan war operations. According to witnesses,  the plane exploded twice in flight and broke into several pieces in midair. The cause of the crash is under investigation.

Based in Yuma, Arizona. Died at Camp Bastion in Helmand Province, Afghanistan, while supporting combat operations.
