Blindness by Jose Saramago. Currently reading. Had no idea until five minutes ago that there is a movie. Excited! Update: I somehow managed to lose this book mid-read so need to find it or buy new copy to finish. :(
The novel begins with a driver caught off guard when his vision fails him. After a time, other residents of this unnamed city suffer from the same white-blindness, and are moved into a holding area by authorities. Predictably, mayhem ensues as the population struggles to survive. Blindness was later made into a terrible movie starring Julianne Moore and Gael Garcia Bernal, but we try not to think about this too much.
One of the scariest books and freakiest movies I have ever read/seen. Blindness by Jose Saramago
10 novels that are supposed to disturb even the coldest of hearts. Must read them!

take on Less than zero movie poster.Originally a book by California writer Brett Easton Ellis (AWESOME) today's generation hunter s thompson
Οι συμπεριφορές, η νοοτροπία, το life
Less Than Zero by Bret Easton Ellis. A very interesting look into the 1980's lifestyle. Very, very graphic though in terms of sex and violence, but a good read nonetheless.
Less Than Zero by Bret Easton Ellis, this movie is where I fell in love with ROBERT DOWNEY JR... yearning after the troubled, drug riddled, selfish, immature, lost cause... I think this ended up being very impressionable.
Less Than Zero - Bret Easton Ellis 'lite' (if such a thing exists) and a great introduction to his writing.
Bret Easton Ellis... unmatched in his understanding of the volatile generation coming of age in the 80s and 90s
Less Than Zero by Bret Easton Ellis- published when Ellis was just 21! The movie later released in the 80's was loosely based on this book- glamorized by Hollywood's then infamous 20 somethings- Robert Downey Jr., Andrew McCarthy, Jamie Gertz & stereotyped, snarky, elitist jerk- James Spader. Ellis went on to pen many other books that also made the transition to the silver screen such as American Psycho (horrible movie) & The Rules of Attraction.
Less Than Zero by Bret Easton Ellis so much better than the movie!

To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee Time is the true test for something to be considered a classic. Somehow I missed reading this in high school and college. If ever there was a "modern" classic, this is it. Don't miss reading this one!
To Kill A Mockingbird by Harper Lee - By far one of the top ten books of all times and one of the few that remained true to the book when it was made into a movie - both book and movie are classics
To Kill A Mockingbird by Harper Lee. Another classic that has been frequently banned and challenged. #bannedbooksweek
My 9th grade son is reading To Kill a Mockingbird in his English class. When I saw this book, it reminded me of all the classic novels I didn’t read in high school: The Grapes of Wrath, John Stein...
One of the best-loved classics of all time, To Kill a Mockingbird has earned many distinctions since its original publication in 1960. It has won the Pulitzer Prize, been translated into more than forty languages, sold more than forty million copies worldwide, and been made into an enormously popular movie. It was also named the best novel of the twentieth century by librarians across the country (Library Journal).
WANT TO READ: To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee - a book I should have read in high school.
Annie’s Book Club has chosen a classic for their book club discussion for July. Meeting at the Elisabeth Lahti Library in Indiantown, they will discuss To Kill a Mockingbird, Thursday July 3rd at 10am. Through the young eyes of Scout and Jem Finch, Harper Lee explores with rich humor and unswerving honesty the irrationality of adult attitudes toward race and class in the Deep South of the 1930s. Come share your thoughts about one of the best-loved classics of all time.

Pride & Prejudice♥ One of my favorite movies of all time. This film is just beautiful. I've been known to have days where there is nothing on my TV except this movie on repeat ALL day. Something about it makes me happy, feel like having a Catillion ball, stroll around in fields reading novels, prepare myself some tea. ♥
A film, based on Jane Austen's classic text that deals with discovery on many levels. As the film progresses Elizabeth and Darcy begin to discover their own imperfections and eventually acknowledge and apologize for them. Knowing themselves, they realize, enables them to root out the pride and prejudice that has stood between them and then prepare the way for their life together. (DVD/ENG PRI)
"My affections and wishes have not changed, but one word from you will silence me forever. If, however, your feelings have changed, I will have to tell you: you have bewitched me, body and soul, and I love, I love, I love you. I never wish to be parted from you from this day on." - Pride and Prejudice (2005)
Oh how I love Pride and Prejudice. Whether it is the film with Kiera Knightly or the BBC series with Colin Firth I love it !

Cat: This is a graphic poster for the famous movie American Psycho. This poster contains constrained visual language as it is a simple graphic design containing elements of the film but not in the form of a detailed illustration. The white coat and axe alone combined with the title "American Psycho" is enough for a viewer to get a concise understanding of what the film is about. The simple colour scheme helps add to the constrained visual language of this poster.

The Other Boleyn Girl by Philippa Gregory - The book that ignited my love for historical fiction. Can't get enough Philippa Gregory. I sold it back when I was done reading it and re-bought it less than a month later. It will always be one of my favorites. A little disappointed by the movie... (despite my unyielding love for Jim Sturgess).
The Other Boleyn Girl. Love this book and movie. Love this author. Have read many books by her! Alot of historical fiction.
"the other boleyn girl" by philippa gregory Really good! I love historical fiction and this one was terrific. Those of the court were quite devious.
The Other Boleyn Girl by Philippa Gregory. Historical fiction that portrays the scandalous life of the Boleyn family.
The Other Boleyn Girl by Philippa Gregory. Historical fiction about Henry VIII (let's face it, who doesn't find him fascinating?).
Philippa Gregory.. The Other Boleyn Girl- really good read and the movie was pretty good, but the book is better!
The Other Boleyn Girl - I really liked this book and read the second book. Facinating historical fiction and WAY better than the movie.

"...In the souls of the people the grapes of wrath are filling and growing heavy, growing heavy for the vintage." The Grapes of Wrath is one of my favorite books and John Steinbeck one of my favorite authors. I also very much enjoyed his book, Travels with Charlie.
The Grapes of Wrath by John Steinbeck. One of my favorite books of all time. Amazing look into life during the Great Depression.

The Grapes of Wrath, by John Steinbeck - 1939. Adapted to film in 1940, directed by John Ford. Henry Fonda portrayed the lead character, Tom Joad. Great read and movie!
This week is Freedom to Read Week and Feb. 27 is the birthday of one of the most socially concious of American writers, John Steinbeck. "Grapes of Wrath", one of the greatest American novels and the most trenchant depiction of the Great Depression and the plight of the American farmer in the Dust Bowl. It was released 75 years ago, in 1939, and made into a celebrated Hollywood movie in 1940.
The Grapes of Wrath by John Steinbeck is still my favorite book of all time. In 1962, Steinbeck won the Nobel Prize for literature for his "realistic and imaginative writing, combining as it does sympathetic humor and keen social perception." On the day of the announcement (Oct. 25) when he was asked by a reporter at a press conference given by his publisher, if he thought he deserved the Nobel, he said: "Frankly, no."[
The Grapes of Wrath by John Steinbeck One of my all time favorite books.

Flowers in the Attic - Flowers in the Attic is a 1979 novel by Virginia Andrews. It is the first book in the Dollanganger Series, and was followed by Petals on the Wind, If There Be Thorns, Seeds of Yesterday, and Garden of Shadows. The novel is written in the first person from the point of view of Cathy Dollanganger.
Flowers in the attic and all subsequent books in the series. I re-read this series every couple of years and I still love it.
These were the mid-80's version of the Twilight books. You HAD to read them. I'm re-reading them now!
