my future house HAS to have a window seat. I like the ladder idea that way it can be out of the way, but still accessible. Also bookshelf by or right in the window seat. Lots of bright pillows and blankets. Maybe pastels.

love the plant cluster and the light

I love bay windows with benches built in... Had one in my room growing up and you could lift the pad up and it opened like a chest for more storage

I'm afraid I'm really going to need this adorable little window bench so I can read while waiting on food to cook

Window seating. I'm feeling creative today. I'm thinking this would be great if the window seat, rather than being a closed box type of bench seat with books piled in front of it, was the bookcase with open shelving for books and magazines. I've seen a few with bins under for storage but why not for display. Unless you have toddlers. Or pets who tear things up.

color on textiles with neutral base - - - i wonder if we could pull off curtains like that in our living room ??

I want to do this in the basement! But I'm sure I won't!! :) how to make a comfy hideout, complete with built-in storage cubbies and a work surface for coloring or homework.
