The Immortal Rules (Blood of Eden Series #1) This is not typically my kind of book, but I love Julie Kagawa's Iron Fey books so I decided to give this one a chance. It's an adrenaline ride of a different kind. It's like the Hunger Games with vampires and a sprinkle of the book of Revelation thrown in. It's definitely not your typical vampire story.

    Love this series!

I can not stress that enough! Movies based on books are rarely as amazing as the book itself! Movies show you what a specific person wanted to see, with books, you create the images for yourself, you get decide, you get to make it come alive for yourself. And there is nothing better.

Sue's pick of the month is "The Magician's Assistant" by Ann Patchett, who has a proven penchant for crafting colorful characters and marrying the ordinary with the fantastic. Per the book's jacket: "Welcome to the magic show, where love defies magic, family are the people you never met, and commitments last more than a lifetime." It's a definite page turner and Sue absolutely loves this book.

This is the story of Louis, as told in his own words, of his journey through mortal and immortal life. He recounts becoming a vampire at the hands of the radiant and sinister Lestat and how he became indoctrinated, unwillingly, into the vampire way of life.
