This game is VERY simple but powerful for the kids because it helps them to make those connections that 5 pennies = 1 nickel, 2 nickels = 1 dime, etc...

A fun game to teach COIN VALUES. Simply roll the dice (once per turn) and take that number of pennies. As often as possible exchange 5 pennies for 1 nickel, 2 nickels for 1 dime, 2 dimes and 1 nickel for 1 qtr., and 4 qtrs. for the \$1 bill. The first one to \$1 wins the game. Perfect for some Kinders and most 1st graders.

A Teacher's Idea - and a good one! This is a very simple, low-cost way of learning how to read the time in digital AND analogue. We'd suggest building it into the daily routine, asking your child to show you what times they usually do things; or even alongside a working clock - set a time on the learning clock, and when the real clock matches it, it's time for a treat!
