An antique porcelain Veilleuse-Theieres, or 'night-light' teapot. Items like this one were used in 18th through mid-19th c. to hold a candle - they acted as a nightlight & as a tea warmer.  This "Gothic Cathedral" is intricately scalloped and includes with a rose window above the Gothic double doors.  It is in the Trenton Teapot Collection - the world's largest collection of Veilleuses-Theieres.
