Crock Pot Baked Potatoes!! Perfect for those summer grilling days, better than microwaving, and no hot oven on!
tomato basil parmesan soup for the crock pot. Made this today. Subtle tomato flavor. Lightened it by using 1c skim milk and 1c half and half. Didnt stir in Parm but just grated some on top before serving. Great with simple grilled cheese sandwiches. Kids liked the soup. Though not likr Norstrom Cafe's tomato soup (which has something like 2 cups of heavy cream), I will make again.
Turned out yummy and flavorful! I did two tsp each instead of a Tblsp for the basil and oregano. I added garlic, and of course we always top dinner off with Sriracha chili sauce. Mmmm! We didn't have cabbage, but it was fine without it. ~Crock-Pot Chicken and Rice Soup on MyRecipeMagic.com
TOMATO BASIL PARMESAN SOUP- Put in crockpot: 2(14oz) can diced tomato; 1 c each: finely chopped celery, carrot & onion; 1 tsp oregano; 1 T basil; 4 c chicken broth, 1/2 bay leaf. Cook on low 5-7 hrs. 1/2 hr before serving melt 1/2 c butter over low heat, add 1/2 c flour. Whisk constantly 5-7 min. Slowly add 1 c hot soup. Add 3 more stir til smooth. Return to pot. Add 1 c parmesan, 2 c warm cream, 1 tsp salt, 1/4 tsp pepper. Add more oregano & basil if needed. Cook on low 30 min more
Paula Dean's crockpot potato soup recipe. Combine 1 bag frozen hash browns, 2 (14oz) cans chicken broth, 1 can cream of chicken soup, 1/2c chopped onion, 1/3tsp black pepper. Cook in crock pot on low for 5hours. Stir in 8oz block of cream cheese, cook 30 minutes, stir occasionally.
