Keep Sliced Apples Fresh With Ginger Ale ~ so they won't turn brown soak them in ginger ale for 10 minutes... and the apples still taste like apples! (I also hear any lemon-lime soda will also work)

To keep sliced apples from turning brown, add them to a bowl with 4 cups of cold water and 1 tablespoon of lemon juice. Soak for 5-10 minutes.

Here's how to keep sliced apples from turning brown after you've cut into them:

All-Occasion Punch (makes one punch-bowl-sized batch)  1 c. fresh lime juice (around 8-10 limes, usually) 1 c. ginger syrup 1 750 ml bottle of gin 2 liters ginger ale 15 or so dashes of Angostura Bitters Lime slices, for garnish

throw 2 sliced apples, 1/3 cup brown sugar, 1 tsp cinnamon in the bottom of the crock pot. Pour 2 cups of oatmeal and 4 cups of water on top. Do NOT stir. Cook overnight for 8 - 9 hours on low.
