I love this idea. Scrapbook paper and thread? Even this could frame my bed in a pretty way.

(Used this mostly as inspiration for Ellie's 1st birthday banner.) Didn't use paint-chips. (Seriously people, that's basically stealing.) Cut hearts with Cricut (about 2.5"). Cut "Happy Birthday" w/ Cricut (1.5"). Glued letters to hearts, punched holes in the tops and strung coordinating ribbon through to hang. Took two hours, off and on.

Easy enough to do yourself. This garland is made from Australian Black pinecones, and is perfect for hanging on a mantel, draped on a piano, or adorning your christmas tree. The pinecones are sprayed white and hung with fabric ties on a red rope. Measures approximately 7.5ft.

This would be a fun garland at a wedding, perhaps over the cake or guestbook table.

Sewn Paper Garland - Punch out a stack of stars from different patterned papers. Randomly arrange and rearrange stars on a large table. Run each star through the sewing machine. Grab a few at a time, so you aren't constantly stopping and starting your machine. Also sew towards a point, not from one, in case the point would get caught or bend. It takes less than 10 minutes.
