Great Wall of China The wall’s purpose was to protect the northern borders of the Chinese Empire from Xiongnu attacks during the rule of successive dynasties. The entire Great Wall with all of its branches, stretches for miles from east to west of China.
The Kinkaku-ji Temple in northern Higashiyama is one you really should check out in Kyoto. While it's not actually silver it's even more beautiful as it is with it's unique design.
