2013 Pagani Huayra. 230mph top speed. thrust steady up to 6000 rpm with 737 lb-ft of torque (must feel like a fighter-jet taking off when the pedal is to the metal,) courtesy of a new 60-degree, 6.0-liter twin-turbo V-12. the car and adrenaline junkie and geek in me wants to take the open road in one of these, but alas, it is a privilege reserved only for the uberwealthy.
Spanish car manufacturer, Aspid, has just pulled the veil on renderings that show its muscular second offering, the Aspid GT-21 Invictus. And though the name sounds like a cross between an entomological term and a Roman Emperor, the car itself is pure performance. Powered by a BMW sourced V8 engine with 450 brake horsepower at 8,300 RPM, the Invictus also boasts a sub-3,000 pound curb weight, which should amount to a launch to 60 in a face-ripping sub-3 seconds.
