      Candy cigarettes - It seems weird now, but all kids loved to pretend smoking these candy cigarettes. Now I wouldn't even let my child pretend to smoke, let alone with candy. But you can still buy them at vintage candy stores. Nana

    I remember these Candy stripers - teens volunteering at the local hospital and getting the striped uniformed so you weren't confused with a nurse! They were volunteering in the hospitals I was in. Takes me back to a not so happy place. They often came in with book wagons and I love to read so it helped me get through some difficult passages.
