Korea War Memorial It's sometimes referred to as the "forgotten war". You rarely hear about it or even were taught about in school. My father fought in this war as well as WWII and said both were he'll on a man's soul. We can't let people forget this part of our history.
Korean War Memorial. My favorite of the memorials on D. C. Larger than life size figures. Hauntingly beautiful at night.
Korean War Memorial | Flickr - Photo Sharing (Seeing this memorial at night is like walking through the fields alongside the soldiers, and the dangers are palpable; a very moving experience~)
Korean War Memorial Washington, DC. The 19 stainless steel statues are approximately 7 foot tall and represent an ethnic cross section of America. The advance party statues has 14 Army, 3 Marines, 1 Navy, and 1 Air Force. The statues stand in patches of juniper bushes and are separated by polished granite strips, which give a semblance of order, and symbolize the rice paddies of Korea.
Korean War Memorial - I saw this on a misty, foggy night; it is a very lifelike and very moving memorial. I too saw this and found it very moving. Family member in this one.
Korean War Memorial. Every week the South Korean Ambassador to the US lays a wreath with a message of thanks at the memorial... a beautiful gesture to our Korean War vets.
