Black sand beaches on the Big Island. Some of our beaches, like Kalapana Black Sand Beach, have been devoured by Pele. But Punaluʻu is not far from Hale Pohaku and is a beautiful beach, with black sand and amost always honu (green sea turtles). Often people also see Hawaiian Monk Seals here, too. Remember: no touch!
