"Hi! This fabulous late 1950s/early 1960s dress foreshadows the later mod influence of Mary Quant. It fastens up the back with a metal zipper and hook & eye at the collar. I love the autumnal colours of the soft wool, and the peter pan neckline. The drop waist at the hips is trimmed with grosgrain satin, a button, and pretty fringe in orange and black wool. The front is tailored with diagonal bust darts and vertical princess darts. Raglan sleeves. Pencil skirt with a 7\" back walking pleat.
