The eleven story, 350 room Hotel Lubbock. The building still stands and is now a condominium. (photographer unknown, 1948)

Company of Tank Destroyer WAACS, Camp Hood, Texas. On the back of the postcard, the sender writes, "This is an enormous camp. Lots of activity. Pretty hot but maybe it is there too." The postcard was sent to someone in Iowa in July 1944. (published by Barton News Agency)
