This would have been good to know last week! Make that Carving Last - Spray a mixture of bleach and water on the inside of your fresh pumpkin daily or coat the inside w/ petroleum jelly to keep mold and dehydration at bay.

Pumpkin Pie and Spiced Nuts. Emeril Recipe revised. 2 cups of raw nuts 2 Tablespoons butter 2 Tablespoons water 1/4 cup brown sugar 1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice pinch or two of salt

Not that we really NEED to eat this cake but... it's so cute and gross.

YOU WILL NEED 3/4 cup water 1 packet powdered gelatin 1/2 cup of liquid soap (use a liquid soap base since it’s unscented and uncolored) liquid colorant ( green ) fragrance oil 1 teaspoon table salt cups, jar, or a glass pan spooky eyeballs or other creepy objects (optional) THEN YOU DO THE FOLLOWING 1.Place the gelatin powder in a bowl. Meanwhile, bring the water to a boil. Stir water into gelatin until powder is dissolved. 2.Stir in liquid soap. 3. Add colorant. Now add a few drops of fragrance oil. 4) Stir in the salt until dissolved. Put creepy objects into cups or jar and pour in soap (it is lukewarm at this point). Or you can pour soap into a glass pan. 5) Put soap into fridge for several hours or overnight. It’s fun to cut it up into cubes and scoop out, which become single use soaps. Or you can use a fork and shred it into wormy noodles and pile up in a bowl. The eyeballs made the bottom of the slime a little white but it adds to it’s grossness!

Dinner in a Pumpkin. How cute!

Sure, a mummy is a pretty classic last minute costume idea, but I've never seen such a cute version before. Grab a roll of gauze from the medicine chest and layer it over an existing pair of pants, the top half of a long-sleeve onesie, and a knit cap. A few safety pins and knots should keep it in place. Just make sure it's removable for any mid evening outfit changes.

    Halloween Toddler Lunch

Supplies: small bottle of juice, about 10 oz. double sided tape glue googly eyes eye picture ivory/cream colored crepe paper (for an antique look) Directions: cut out eye picture. Glue googly eyes onto the eye picture and let dry. Use double stick tape and tape eyes to the lid of the drink. Put a piece of double stick tape at the bottle of the juice bottle and start wrapping crepe paper around the bottle. Work your way up to the lid. Wrap and twist the streamer around the bottle. You don’t need one long piece, just keep adding crepe paper using tape to secure the ends. Click on the eyes to download the PDF. If these eyes are too scary for you, use whatever you would like for eyes instead. Cute

Melted Witch Brew. Cute for either kids at school or family members. Here's the how to. Line a large baking sheet with wax paper. Melt some green candy melts and some dark chocolate candy melts (separately) in your microwave according to package directions. You won’t need much of the dark chocolate, just enough to do small spoonful per witch. I melted an entire bag of green, and had enough to do about 2 dozen witches, so use that to decide how much to melt. Spoon some green candy on the wax paper and spread into a circle with your spoon. If you are going to bag these up later, keep the bag size in mind. You don’t want to make these too big to fit. Spoon a small amount of dark chocolate over the green, and swirl it with a knife. Place one hat and one broom on each green/black melted witch. Place pan in the refrigerator to set.
