Lovely idea to use reclaimed wood/mantle for a faux fireplace to create a warm, intimate feel in any part of the house. Not just for great room/family room.

Salvaged corbels are used as shelf supports for a display shelf in the dining room. This is such a great look, especially with the salvaged windows.

Yes - candles - mirror - A great idea for someone without a fireplace. Get an old free standing mantle or use the timplet I posted. Add a mirror to fit the size of the mantle opening and start stacking candles. ~ Just Beautiful ~
