Having explored almost every type of photography that I could I was drawn mainly to portraiture because of the human connection. It is incredibly important for me to document that connection between two people or between myself and my subject. I couldnt get that feeling when I was doing landscape or street photography photojournalism conceptual work yearbook photography or weddings. In portraiture the people that I photograph teach me so much. No other form of photography has provided me…

A portrait of the girl who will never decide on a proper Instagram @ name. Anyway... Here I am in my "#studio". To my right is my meditation space and the dinner table. To my left is my nightstand and the bed. We live in a #tinyhouse but we make it work! My easel hangs flat on the wall when I'm not working to save space which I think is the coolest thing ever. Thanks also to everyone for following me recently. It brings me a lot of joy to know there are people out there who are interested in…

self portrait - Having fun trying new things. This is an iPhone image taken from my office at the end of a long work week. I tried to get a double exposure effect and capture a sense of human isolation. The image has cars and buildings but no visible people except for my silhouette in a window.

"Blue courage" My art work is blue and abiding. I used proportion to shape out the expressions and color to bring out the emotions with primary color scheme. The techniques I used were dry brush, wet in wet blend and glazing. I want to express myself, I want people to see my portrait and feel connected. All people we know always have the sides that they won't show to others and suppress them in themselves, we need to be affectionate to help carrying them when their blue side is showed.

I Never really considered photographing people until I meet you. Something about It just seemed so boring and dull to me compared to the places that one could go. Which is why I consider myself a much better landscape photographer then portrait photographer. But your work showed me there is more to portait photography then just the visual representation of a person. Good Luck in New York Abs. I look forward to watching you Grow and becoming someone who will continue to motivate me to push my…

Large-scale drawings of the residents at Laurels Edge Assisted Living in Minnesota. As an art student from Serbia, Jelena would spend her Friday afternoon for about eight months at the facility working on their portraits to bring attention to the elderly as a marginalized group. Jelena Bulajic says about her work: The people whom I depicted in my works are the ones who spoke hardly any word with me, but people who gazed back, and whose silence, age and erudition, therefore, I sought to…

“Illusion Bubble” by Ellie Qu This work is illusion and enthusiasm portrait about myself. I used complementary and different lines to drew my hair and face. I used different size of brushes, lots of acrylic paint and used the stamp was made by myself. When I was painting, i wanted to make this portrait more reality and illusion. Also when people see it I want to them feel calmness or have a good feeling.
