In Bastogne during the second half of December 1944 the U.S. 101st Airborne Division, the battle group 'B' of the 10th Armored Division and the 463rd Field Artillery Division were surrounded by superior forces of the Germans (15 divisions, including 4 armored). Nevertheless, the Americans were able to hold the city, getting supplies by air and won the battle.
