Beowulf. (the Seamus Heaney translation); quite possibly my favorite story of all time. Had the privilege of having a professor who spoke Old English read this to our class...amazing.

The Power of Myth-Joseph Campbell in conversation with journalist and erudite Bill Moyers, discuss myths and general themes of life through the ages. 'Follow your Bliss' emerges for me as the most enduring theme.

I want this book so bad! The amazing, best-selling exploration of world myth and the individual soul's development that has changed millions of lives and was the focus of the recent Bill Moyers special on PBS. In this book Campbell reveals the basis of the monomyth theory which deeply influences the mythologic and folkloric studies.

I fell in love with mythology when I was in High School. This book was wonderfully written plus it's organized in parts making it more engaging to the reader.
