Here's an image of Iowa women ca. 1863-65 -  A handwritten note on the image says  Davenport, Iowa,1863, but it's also designated as the founding board of an orphanage that was set up in 1865 and the spoon bonnets look later than 1863 to me.  Annie Wittenmyer, who was active in Iowa relief organizations and the Christian Commission, and founder of the orphanage that became known as the Annie Wittenmyer Home, is the third from the right.
