*1. E6000 Multi-Purpose Adhesive: GET THIS. Seriously, it is amazing. It glues all kinds of things together but is not too difficult to use. Although you might have to cut your tube open at some point - it's difficult to keep the top from clogging. I use this a lot for gluing metal or plastic or small wood pieces. If you want to make jewelry, this is your best friend. Once dry, the bond can be broken but believe me - it's not easy. 2. Aleene's Original Tacky Glue: Lots of people like this glue. Tacky glue is good for fabrics. Like felt, cotton, putting sequins on fabric, etc. I've never been a huge fan of tacky glue. Some people swear by it, but I have found that between E600 and a glue gun, I'm covered. But then again, I don't do a whole lot of fabric crafting... 3. Gorilla Glue: This is good for wood, metal, foam, glass, ceramics...all of those heavy materials. And it is very, very strong. However, it does not dry clear and expands a bit as it dries, so be careful. *4. Scotch Advanced Tape Glider or Xyron Tape Runner: Tape runners are so amazing. The are so easy and clean to use. Good for paper projects. I know a ton of people are in love with their Scotch ATG. I use Xyron runners and they are great. Plus, Xyron makes this small size which is awesome because the ATG is pretty big. *5. Mod Podge Matte or Mod Podge Gloss: Mod Podge is a must-have. It's an adhesive and a sealant. Which is fantastic. After you get Mod Podge, you'll wonder how you lived without it. I suggest having matte and gloss around, you will use both, depending on the project. Mod Podge is good for collaging, with paper and even with fabric to hard surfaces (i.e. collaging fabric onto an art canvas). *6. Mini Glue Gun: Glue guns are handy because they are easy to use, adhere to fabric and are only semi-permanent. 7. Glue Dots: So easy to use. Similar concept to the tape runners, only in smaller sizes instead of a continuous piece of tape. Good for paper projects. 8. Elmer's No-Wrinkle Rubber Cement: yeah! You know you love sniffing this stuff. And if you don't, please don't judge those who do - this is a safe space, you guys. ;) Ok, but for real - this is toxic smelling. So be careful when using it. It's good for school projects and paper crafts. It has a fairly strong hold but it's not crazy permanent. Yes, I left two obvious adhesives out: glue sticks and super glue. Here's why. Glue sticks are terrible. Only use them if you are crafting with children. That should explain why they aren't a great adhesive - if you have craft with children, you need something that is not permanent and is washable. Super glue is too permanent and messy. You will stick your fingers together and create a crafting catastrophe. It's just not necessary to use instant glue like that. My only memories of needing super glue are in the 90s - if a plastic piece of a stereo or VCR broke off. It's 2012...we've moved on. Oh! And Scotch gift-wrap tape is always nice to have around. *I've starred the must-haves. I starred a glue for metal, paper, fabric and sealing.
Another good glue list with the what you need to know for you DIY crafts, jewelry and art projects.

NEED! Silhouette SD Digital Craft Cutting Tool (or the Silhouette CAMEO)
Graphtec / Quickutz Silhouette SD Craft Cutter (formerly CraftROBO)
Silhouette Machine. Prints amazingly intricate cutouts! : The Silhouette CAMEO™ is an electronic cutting tool for personal use. Like a home printer, it plugs into your PC or Mac® with a simple USB cable. However, instead of printing it uses a small blade to cut paper, cardstock, vinyl, fabric and more up to 12" wide and 10 feet long.
Imagine the possiblities! @Patricia Quinn and @Julie Kondo The Silhouette Cutting Tool FRIDAY, OCTOBER 1, 2010 AT 2:40PM My roommate just sent me a very interesting article by the New York Times called "Expanding the Creative Horizons of Your Printer". It's about the endless amounts of projects a person can use their printer for... Did you know your printer is a cutom textile manufaturer? A hardover book, decal, magnet and sticker maker? It's pretty amazing what kind of technology has been brought into the home with this little machine- probably sitting in a corner somewhere with dust on it. Well this article may just inspire you to bring it back to life! A new product that I recently stumbled on is called the Silhouette Digital Cutting Machine. It hooks up to your computer, just like a printer, and produces detailed cut-out images. It's perfect for those intricate time-consuming cut pieces. It's a new twist on an old machine. Imagine all the projects that can be made with this. Pretty amazing... http://www.silhouetteamerica.com/whatisit.aspx

Obsessed with Scrapbooking: Cricut Settings Table USE THIS WHEN DOING CARDS
One thing that is absolutely critical to making the Cricut cut properly is to have the pressure, speed and depth of blade correct for the type of paper you are using. This, by far, is what makes or breaks your Cricut experience. No one wants to ruin expensive paper by accidently having the wrong settings in place and then shredding their paper! It's certainly happened to me enough times, especially when switching amongst different types of paper like going from heavy card stock click link

Craft Adhesive Guide by U Create - u-createcrafts.com GLUE DOTS Glue dots are a staple in my craft room. I use these to adhere just about any small item on paper crafts, school projects, kids crafts (very easy for the kids to use, too!) They come in permanent or removable and I love how you can buy them in many different sizes! E6000 This stuff is super strong and is my go to when it comes to things with metal (jewelry, barrettes, metal embellishments, etc.) It's washable and waterproof. SUPER GLUE Who hasn't super glued their fingers together or to a craft they were making? This is tough and I the thing I love most about super glue is that it dries lightning fast and you don't have to clamp your crafts together. Also is great if you have a deep cut and no bandaid around! GLUE STICKS My children are the reasons I have glue sticks in the house! However, I use them for repositioning things quite a bit or if I'm doing a photo shoot and something isn't staying in place I put a little swipe of glue. Works like a charm! They are acid free and photo safe, too. BLUE GEL GLUE The reason I stuck (no pun intended) this baby on the list is because you can do amazing things with it. Our number one post on UCreate is the watermark tee tutorial and you use this blue gel glue...go check it out! MOD PODGE Okay, really what can't you do with Mod Podge right? My favorite thing about it is the way it seals and protects my projects. Over the years Mod Podge has come a long way. You can buy it in all sorts of finishes, you can use it on all sorts of mediums, and it's a cinch to use! GLUE PEN Sometimes I have intricate projects where I need to be specific about where I place the glue and this handy tool is perfect for that. It's not messy and it's safe for photos and acid free. FABRIC GLUE This one is self-explanatory and when I don't feel like getting the sewing machine out, I'll often grab this glue to fix something that has come unstitched or I also like to use it and turn small projects into no-sew projects. TACKY GLUE This stuff has been around forever hasn't it? I remember my mom using this all of the time when I was a little girl. You know how kids use white school glue for everything? Well, I like to think of this as my "big girl" school glue. It dries clean, it has a strong hold, and it's my all-purpose go to glue! WOOD GLUE Gorilla wood glue is always next to me when I'm doing home decor projects like frames, decorative molding on my crafts, putting together shelves, basically whenever I'm creating with "wooden" projects. FOAM TAPE I like foam tape for a couple of reasons. I cut it up in small pieces and use it on my small crafts to give it that pop or 3D dimension. I also love it when I'm doing poster displays for my church or kids' school projects! TAPE RUNNERS When I'm making cards or scrapbooking this is my go-to adhesive. They come in many different sizes, brands, and you can also buy removable and permanent versions. DUCT TAPE Hello? Duct tape crafts galore! Over the past two years you can find just about any pattern your heart desires! SPRAY ADHESIVE My very thing about spray adhesive is how quickly you can glue a large area. This works so great on large projects, but make sure to use it in a well ventilated area! GLUE GUN I really don't know where to begin on this one. I use it all of the time. This is probably my "most-used" adhesive. I use it for flower arrangements, ribbons, wreaths, hair crafts, you name it! WASHI TAPE This just makes things look pretty. It's easily removable and is probably the most decorative adhesive out there! You won't believe all of the different things you can do with washi tape. Check out this Washi Tape Tutorial List! DOUBLE-SIDED TAPE I use this tape when I'm gift-wrapping, doing school projects (it's really easy for the kid's to use), invitations, and many other paper crafts!
