Salted caramel sauce - quick and easy gift idea. Says in comments section it can be waterbath canned or kept as is in cupboard for at least 8 wks, fridge recommended though. Need to confirm that...but I think it would work.
Cut apples in half and take out the core and seeds. Melt carmel over medium heat. Pour carmel into apple halves and put in fridge until cool. Slice apples into wedges and serve with a toothpick. Easy and NOT messy!
